128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash- PM Modi pays tribute: Will attend the Parakram Diwas event; Wrote on social media – I will give a message to the future generation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to Subhash Chandra Bose on his 128th birth anniversary. In the social media post, PM wrote- His contribution to India’s freedom movement is unique. He was a symbol of courage and patience. His vision continues to inspire us as we work towards building the India of his dreams.

PM Modi wrote in another post that at around 11:25 am I will share my message in the Parakram Diwas program. May this day inspire our future generations to adopt courage to face challenges, as Subhash Babu did.

Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in an affluent family. Subhash’s father Janakinath Bose was a lawyer. His early life was spent in Cuttack, Odisha. He had 9 brothers and sisters. Subhash was a bright student since his early days, hence he came to Calcutta from Cuttack and took admission in the famous Presidency College.

Subhash Chandra Bose did BA from Scottish Church College, Calcutta. Later went to London. Where he got fourth position in the merit list in the ICS examination. When Bose returned to India after studying in England, he was 25 years old.

Took command of Azad Hind Fauj in Singapore, said- let’s go to Delhi

On 4 July 1943, in a historic ceremony held at Cathay Bhawan, Singapore, Rash Bihari Bose handed over the command of Azad Hind Fauj to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Netaji became the commander of Azad Hind Fauj. Sugata Bose writes that the next day on July 5, there was a parade in uniform at 10.30. At that time 12 thousand soldiers of INA were present. Netaji was also in military uniform.

Netaji said, ‘Azad Hind Fauj has declared war. Let’s go to Delhi for the enslaved people…Soldiers, I will be with you all the time, in happiness and sorrow, sunshine and shade. I will not be able to give you anything except hunger, thirst, want and death, but if you follow me, I will lead you to freedom and victory.’

Bose died in a mysterious accident, Nehru became the first PM of independent India.

In 1845, the British government went after Netaji. Therefore he decided to ask for help from Russia. On 18 August 1945 he flew towards Manchuria. Five days later, on August 23, 1945, Tokyo Radio reported that a Ki-21 bomber plane had crashed near Taihoku Airport. Subhash Chandra Bose, who was traveling in it, got badly burnt and died during treatment in the hospital.

More than 10 committees around the world have investigated the death of Subhash Chandra Bose. The government of independent India ordered an investigation into this incident three times. Earlier both times plane crash was said to be the cause of the accident. The third investigation said that no plane crash occurred in 1945.
