The goods train in Fatehpur was hit by a second freight train.
Two freight trains collided in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. A goods train was standing on the track, when the second goods train from behind hit. The collision was so fast that the engine of the goods train and the guard of the guard fell down from the track.
Loco pilots of both trains were seriously injured in the accident. The incident took place on Tuesday morning at DFC i.e. Dedicated Freight Corridor. Only goods trains run on this. In such a situation, the incident did not affect passenger trains. Senior railway officers have reached the spot.
Loco pilots of both trains were admitted to the nearest hospital. The team reached for relief and rescue. The track is being cleared. The accident took place on an up line near Pambhipur in Khaga between Kanpur-Fatehpur.
The car was standing on the red signal DFC officials said there was a red signal on the track. A freight train was standing. Then suddenly the second freight train came from behind at a high speed and hit. Both the goods train was filled with coal. Rail traffic is affected on a line of the freight corridor due to the accident. Many freight trains have been stopped. Some routes of some were changed. The railway administration has ordered an inquiry.

Pilot’s mistake caused accident AGM Joginder Singh of DFC reached the spot. He said- The accident is being investigated. Initial investigation is revealing the human error. That is, the pilot has made a mistake. There is no negligence of any kind. Rescue is being done. Efforts are being made to restore the track. However, it may take time to fix the track right now. Many freight trains are standing in the up line. Some are being diverted.
Pilot did not see red signal DFC sources said that initial investigation revealed that the freight train coming back was to stop at the red signal. However, the pilot did not stop the car on the red signal. He could not see the red signal either or could not understand. The train parked forward on this track hit.
The team of more than 50 officers of the railway and teams are engaged in rescue on the spot.
What is DFC i.e. Dedicated Freight Corridor? There are two dedicated freight corridors in the country. EDFC means Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor and WDFC i.e. Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. EDFC ranks from Ludhiana in Punjab to Dankuni in West Bengal. At the same time, WDFC is from Jawaharlal Nehru Port Terminal (Maharashtra) to Dadri in UP.
The EDFC is 1,839 km in length and the length of WDFC is 1,506 km. The accident occurred on EDFC i.e. Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. Railways have separated these tracks separately for fast transportation of freight trains. Only goods trains run in it. ,
