Government Jobs in Jharkhand. Ranchi, Sanjeev Singh: There will be recruitment on about 260 posts of Associate Professor and Professor in the Government University of Jharkhand. For this, the process has been started once again. The Higher and Technical Education Department has directed all government universities to clear the roster as soon as possible and send it to the Directorate of Higher Education. There are approximately 150 associate professor and 110 professor posts vacant in the state. The roster for the appointment of Assistant Professors on 2,404 posts in the universities of Jharkhand has been cleared and the proposal for appointment has been sent to the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). However, the appointment process is stalled.
The proposal for appointment was sent in 2016
In Jharkhand, the universities of the state had sent a proposal to JPSC in the year 2016 for direct appointment to the post of Associate Professor and Professor. These included 162 posts of Associate Professor and 70 posts of Professor. The process of appointment to the post of Associate Professor was stopped on 15 January 2019.
The last appointment to the post of Professor was made in 2021.
For appointment to the post of Professor, the Commission last appointed Dr. NK Bera, Dr. Gauri Shankar Jha, Dr. Jitendra Shukla, Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Singh, Dr. Mudita Chandra, Dr. Hiranandan Prasad, Dr. Asha Kumari, Dr. Ravindra in 11 subjects on October 1, 2021. The names of Singh Chaudhary, Dr. Archana Dubey and Dr. Manzar Hussain were recommended.

3 professors appointed, all three returned to Ranchi
Dr. Jitendra Shukla and Dr. Hiranandan Prasad were appointed to the post of Professor in Nilambar-Pitamber University and Asha Kumari was appointed to the post of Professor in Kolhan University. All three teachers later returned to Ranchi University. No candidates were found in Commerce, Economics and Sociology subjects. Many teachers in universities have been promoted and have reached the post of Associate Professor and Professor.

There are 38 vacancies out of 47 posts of professor in Ranchi University PG.
At present, there are a total of 47 posts of professors in the PG departments of Ranchi’s largest Ranchi University. There are only 9 professors among them. Of these, 7 are men and 2 are women. 38 posts are still vacant. Similarly, there are a total of 103 posts of Associate Professor in PG departments, out of which 52 posts are for Associate Professor. Of these, 28 are men and 24 are women. 51 posts are still vacant. Talking about Assistant Professor, there are a total of 118 posts in PG departments. Of these, 99 are assistant professors. Of these, 52 are men and 47 are women. 19 posts are vacant. 18 male and 6 female assistant professors are working on contract.
