30 Naxalites were killed in Chhattisgarh encounter, Home Minister Amit Shah reminds 2026 deadline

He said that a soldier of Bijapur District Reserve Guard (DRG) has died in this incident. Officials said that encounter and search campaign is going on in the area.

How many Naxalites died this year

Superintendent of Police of Kanker district Indira Kalyan Alesela said that another encounter took place in the forest on the border of Kanker and Narayanpur district this morning, when a joint team of DRG and Border Security Force had gone on an anti -Naxal campaign. He said that after the action, apart from the bodies of four Naxalites, automatic weapons were also recovered. Police said that a search operation is going on at both encounter sites. With this encounter, this year so far, the number of Naxalites killed in different encounters in the state has increased to 113. Of these, 97 were killed in seven districts including Bijapur and Kanker districts in Bastar division.

When the number of Naxalites died 18, the CM of Chhattisgarh encouraged the security forces. At the same time, when 22 Naxalites were killed, Amit Shah tweeted and praised the soldiers.

Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on the social media platform X, “Today our soldiers have achieved another great success in the direction of ‘Naxal Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’. 22 Naxalites were killed in two separate operations of our security forces in Bijapur and Kanker in Chhattisgarh. The Modi government is moving beyond the Rutles approach against the Naxalites and despite all the facilities of dedication to inclusion, the Naxalites are not surrendering, adopting a policy of zero tolerance against them. The country is going to be Naxal -free before 31 March next year. ‘
