Maharashtra Election Result Date: Voting has ended in Maharashtra. Exit polls predicted the results. Now the final result is awaited. The people of Maharashtra voted heavily on 20th November i.e. Wednesday. Voters showed such enthusiasm that a new record was created in the history of 30 years. Yes, Maharashtra has broken the records of many elections in terms of voting. In the assembly elections held on 20 November, 65.02% voting took place in Maharashtra. This is the highest voting since 1995. In the 1995 assembly elections, 71.7 percent votes were cast. Another special thing happened in that election. That was the first non-Congress government. Yes, in 1995 the fort of Congress collapsed due to the storm of BJP and Shiv Sena.
Interestingly, the voting in Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024 is more than the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, 61.39 percent votes were cast. There was 61.4% voting in the 2019 assembly elections. In this way the people of Maharashtra have shown awareness towards voting. Big stars, leaders and workers in the state had appealed to the people to vote. Also, the Election Commission had made good arrangements at the polling stations for the convenience of the voters. This resulted in bumper voting in Maharashtra this year, which is the highest since 1995. So let us know how the result was in the 1995 assembly elections.
What happened in the 1995 elections
Actually, assembly elections were held in two phases in the year 1995 in Maharashtra. The first phase of voting was held on 12 February and the second phase of voting was held on 9 March. The results came on 13 March. The main contest in this election was between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena alliance versus Congress. In 1995, when there was a bumper voting of 71.69 percent, the mandate came in favor of the BJP-Shivsena alliance. At that time Shiv Sena government was formed and Manohar Joshi became the Chief Minister. At that time there was an alliance between undivided Shiv Sena and BJP. The 1995 elections are also historic because for the first time a non-Congress government was formed in Maharashtra. The BJP-Shiv Sena duo had overthrown the Congress government.

Whose condition was in 1995?
In the 1995 elections in Maharashtra, Congress became the largest party by winning 80 seats. But Shiv Sena and BJP were successful in forming a coalition government. At that time Shiv Sena had secured 73 seats and BJP had secured 65 seats. Whereas, if we talk about vote percentage, Congress got 31 percent votes, Shiv Sena got 16.4 percent votes and BJP got 12.8 percent votes. In that election the number of Kol voters was 5,50,93,862 and 3,94,98,861 had exercised their vote.
This time the voting percentage is only 4 percent less than in 1995. Now the question is that when 71.69 percent voting took place in 1995, the Shiv Sena-BJP government was formed.
