Waiting for Bollywood long …
The clock has come waiting for which all the countrymen hold their breath throughout the year. On 01 February, the country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the budget 2025. Along with this, data from different sectors also came. But like every time, this time too, the original source of public entertainment i.e. the film industry was again ignored. Once again, the Mahakumbh of art was ignored. For some time, many artists from the entertainment world have recommended when Bollywood and film industry will be included in the budget for some time, which has been an interesting means of delivering entertainment to the people of the country for decades. .
300 films, billions of budgets every year
As such, there are many small and big film industries in India where a lot of films are made every year. Millions of people are part of the film industry. But the biggest film industry of them has been the biggest film industry for the last several years. According to recent data, the Telugu film industry has increased the dominance for a few years and this industry has left behind Bollywood, but by raising the history so far, there has always been a rule of ballwood in Indian cinema.
Therefore, if you take only Bollywood as a sample, then according to reports, 300 Bollywood films are made every year. There are many small and big budget films in them. The special thing about these films is that they are shot in different places. The actor has fees, besides singers, choreographers, crew members, there are other helpers on whom these films are made. In such a situation, this industry has the burden of employment of millions of people. If the industry veterans are repeatedly repeating that there should be regulations and reliefs for the film industry in the budget, then their compulsion and helplessness are also seen behind it.
Why should the film industry get a place in the union budget?
The film industry has always been known for its glamor. But the public never realizes the truth behind that glamor. This smile which is in front of the curtain can also be a different compulsion of a person behind the curtain. Many people have their own strength to complete a scene that is coming in front of your eyes. And those strength are also asking for their concern.
Now only the general public talks. This general public also hopes that when inflation is increasing with time, the general public should get entertainment at least cheaply. It is the general public who has the ability to make a low budget film a blockbuster in theaters and it is the public who can also drop films at the box office. In such a situation, if the needs of Indian cinema and the convenience of common knowledge are taken into consideration in the budget, then it will be a great convenience.

What is the demand of industry giants?
After the announcement of the budget of 2025, the film direction and Bhatt family member Mukesh Bhatt gave his response. He has been associated with films for a long time and is well aware of the complexities of the film industry. In response to the questions asked by TV 9, Mukesh Bhatt looked a little disappointed with this time and he also appealed to the government. He said that- “Millions of people are working in our industry, this thing makes Bollywood a big industry in itself. In such a situation, the government should listen to us too and know how serious our problem is. ” Apart from this, during a meeting some time ago, Jackie Shroff had spoken in a light-hearted manner and expressed his desire to reduce the prices of popcorn in cinema halls.
Complaints of Anurag Kashyap-Dibakar Banerjee
There are many directors in the film industry who have a priest of things. Or simply say that there is access. But there are some capable directors in this industry who have art but there is no budget to potray that art in this film industry. Many times veteran filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has also expressed disappointment that his films are not able to earn because they do not get producers. Or do not get many theaters on which their films can get a scope to earn. In the end, these directors have to hold the path of OTT. At the same time, another veteran filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee was also seen looking for producers to release his upcoming project some time ago. Both these are art directors of the country who have told a truth of society from their cinema. But regrettably, he has to struggle to release his films. The audience will continue to come well. But to make such capable directors and more such capable directors to make their films, the film industry has been demanding at its own level. This is not new.
Changed situation after corona
Bollywood’s glamor -filled world was never like this. It was a world of glitter and dazzling. But in the last few years, the Bollywood film industry had to go through many chrys in the last few years. During the Korona period, many well -known actors were also seen facing the tightness of Paisi. When the big film producer and director Karan Johar herself, Korona, Korona, could not respond well, and this has become the reason for his current financial chrys. There were many theaters who came to a standstill in the Korona period that till now there has been no change in their situation. At the same time, there were many films which suffered heavy losses. Many big producers expressed their grief. Which directly indicates that the industry may be a victim of economic crisis.
Apart from this, the increasing utility of OTT platforms has also pushed theaters a little back. Now if the rule is to be believed, within 45 days of the release of any film, a film comes on OTT platforms. In such a situation, the audience is being divided. At the same time, watching movies has not been as cheap as before. It also affects the common man’s pocket. At present, the budget has arrived. Now next year, once again, the cinema world will look at the budget with hopeful eyes.
