Delhi’s cyber police said that 4 accused were arrested from Paharganj area.

Delhi Police has arrested 5 people involved in Digital Arrest Syndicate. All of them had digitally arrested an 81 -year -old elder from the army living in Delhi. The elderly were cheated by the elderly, calling himself an ED officer.

Police arrested 4 accused Imran Qureshi, Asad Qureshi, Dev Sagar and Javed from Paharganj area of ​​Delhi. The main accused Abhishek Yadav was arrested from Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

Police said 11 smartphones, 6 ATMs, a laptop and checkbooks of several bank accounts have been seized from the accused.

According to the police, the accused made a video call to the victim elderly. Described himself as an officer of ED. He told the victim that he is named in the case related to money laundering. If they want to avoid arrest, then give 15 lakh rupees. After this, cheating 15 lakh rupees from the victim.

Police said that after the complaint, the investigation of the case was revealed that the syndicate was operating from Jhansi. The accused had opened many bank accounts in the name of unknown people. Used to transfer the money of cheating in them.

The main accused Abhishek Yadav was in touch with the Chinese company through the Telegraph app. This made the details of more than 100 bank accounts to the Chinese company to the Chinese company.

Two people arrested in January too

The ED’s Chennai -based regional office arrested two people involved in digital arrest in early January for a cheating of 33 lakhs. These people used the mule accounts and changed people into cryptocurrency by cheating people.

The ED started an investigation into the alleged scam after a complaint by a senior citizen to the Chennai police, which mentioned that the two scamsters had cheated the person for Rs 33 lakh.
