7th Regional Industry Conclave on January 16 in Shahdol, proposals worth around Rs 20 thousand crores received so far

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that instructions have been given to collectors in all three districts of Shahdol division to prepare young entrepreneurs for start-ups. The state government will provide them all possible assistance for self-employment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the year 2025 is being celebrated as the Year of Industry in the state.

Regional Industry Conclave is going to be held for the 7th time in Madhya Pradesh.

So far, the government has received investment proposals worth Rs 20 thousand crore for the seventh Regional Industry Conclave of the state which is going to be held tomorrow in Shahdol. In view of the preparations for this summit, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said during the discussion with the officials and public representatives that we will not let the investors who are coming to Madhya Pradesh to set up industries face any kind of difficulty. Investment Facilitation Centers have been started in every district for the convenience of investors. District collectors have been made their nodal officers.

Youth will get help for startup

  • Policies have been made to encourage ease of doing business in the state. In this, Madhya Pradesh is at fourth place in the country.
  • Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all three district collectors of Shahdol division have been instructed to prepare young entrepreneurs for start-ups.
  • The state government will provide them all possible assistance for self-employment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the year 2025 is being celebrated as the Year of Industry in the state.
  • Global Investor Summit is also going to be held in Bhopal in the month of February this year. It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh.

  • Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while interacting virtually with the industrialists of Shahdol, Umaria and Anuppur under the 7th Regional Industry Conclave going to be held in Shahdol, said that so far investment proposals worth Rs 20 thousand crores have been received in the Shahdol Industry Conclave.
  • Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while interacting with local industrialists, gave information about the industrial policy and provisions of the state and the facilities provided to investors.
  • He said that we will not let the investors who are coming to Madhya Pradesh to set up industries face any kind of difficulty. Policies have been made to encourage ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in the state.
  • In this, Madhya Pradesh is at fourth place in the country. For the convenience of investors, ‘Investment Facilitation Centres’ have been started in every district. Collectors have been made their nodal officers.

Focus on investment in minerals, tourism and energy

  • Mineral rich Shahdol district is one of the major coal producing areas of India and the land here is rich in fire clay, methane gas and other important minerals.
  • The Sohagpur Coalfield, one of the largest coal reserves in Asia, provides strategic importance to Shahdol for the energy generation and mining industries.
  • The forest wealth, biodiversity and organic products here make it a major place in the field of forest-based industries and medicinal products.
  • The geographical location of Shahdol makes it more important as an industrial and logistics centre.
  • This district connects Madhya Pradesh with states like Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Due to better road and railway network, this area is suitable for trade and goods transportation. This area also has the potential to develop as an industrial cluster.

Investments received in RIC so far

  • Chief Minister Dr. Yadav decided to organize a Regional Industry Conclave by taking innovative initiatives for industrial development and employment generation equally in different areas of the state.
  • The first RIC of the state was held in Ujjain on March 1-2, in which investment proposals worth Rs one lakh crore were received. The second RIC was held in Jabalpur on July 20, in which investment proposals worth Rs 22 thousand crores were received.
  • In this sequence, the third RIC was held in Gwalior on 28th August, in which investment proposals worth Rs 8 thousand crore were received.
  • The fourth RIC was held in Sagar on September 27, in which investment proposals worth Rs 23 thousand 181 crore were received.
  • The fifth RIC was held in Rewa on 23 October, in which investment proposals worth Rs 30 thousand 814 crore were received.
  • The 6th RIC of the state was held in Narmadapuram on 7 December 2024, in which investment proposals worth Rs 31 thousand 800 crore were received.
