More than 4.25 lakh tourists have reached the mountains in different tourist places of Kullu and Shimla in 6 days (from 24 to 29 December). This has increased the brightness of the mountains even before the New Year. The tourist is happy to see the snow.
Tourists are having fun all day long at tourist places. The number of tourists will increase further today and tomorrow. Atal Tunnel Rohtang connecting Kullu and Lahaul Spiti districts is currently closed. At present, Atal Tunnel Rohtang has been restored only for four by four vehicles.

There is a huge crowd in Shimla even before the New Year. Shimla’s hotels are 70 to 90 percent packed. Tourists reaching Shimla are heading to Narkanda and Kufri to see the snow, because the snow that fell in Shimla has melted. Due to this, there is a rush of tourists in Kufri, Mahasu Peak, Fagu and Narkanda during the day. Tourists are also enjoying skating in Narkanda and Mahasu Peak.
