At the same time, snowfall also occurred in Kufri, Narkanda, Lahaul Valley, Solang Nala, Shimla, Bharmour and Manali of Himachal Pradesh.

IMD said on Thursday that a third Western Disturbance is likely to become active on January 21-22, which may also cause rain in the plains. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and fog at the Kumbh Mela venue in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, an orange alert of rain and fog has been issued for the Kumbh Mela on Friday.
