In Jammu and Kashmir, snowfall occurred in 4 districts Anantnag, Poonch, Bhaderwah and Doda on Thursday. Due to this, cold has increased again at these places. For the first few days, snowfall had stopped due to clear weather and sunshine. At the same time, snowfall also occurred in Kufri, Narkanda, Lahaul Valley, Solang Nala, Shimla, Bharmour and Manali of Himachal Pradesh.
IMD said on Thursday that a third Western Disturbance is likely to become active on January 21-22, which may also cause rain in the plains. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and fog at the Kumbh Mela venue in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, an orange alert of rain and fog has been issued for the Kumbh Mela on Friday.
