The murder case of T-Series owner Gulshan Kumar was the first case of victimization of a film star. Gulshan Kumar used to go to Shiv Mandir in Andheri suburb of Mumbai. On August 12, 1997, she was returning after performing puja when she was attacked. Police later revealed that he had received a threatening phone call in 1997, a few days before the murder.
Rakesh Roshan
After the success of the film Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, the underworld tried to poach Rakesh Roshan. It is said that Roshan had refused the demand for extortion. On January 21, 2000, two people named Sunil Vittal Gaikwad and Sachin Kamble shot at Roshan near his office. Later he had surgery at Nanavati Hospital.
