Elderly man dies in tiger attack in Seoni; Angry villagers chased and beat forest staff, vandalized vehicles

Naiduniya Representative, Seoni. An elderly man who had gone to the forest died due to a tiger attack in Baoli Tola forest of Khawasa forest range of Seoni district. After the incident, angry villagers attacked the forest department team including the ranger. Apart from beating with sticks, the villagers also vandalized the vehicles of Forest Department, Tehsildar and Dial-100.

This was the whole incident

• Elderly Tulsiram Bhalawi (70) was attacked and killed by a tiger at around 5 pm on Thursday in the field of Baoli Tola village of Pindarai Beat in Khawasa forest range of South General Forest Division.
• The villagers attacked the forest staff including Khawasa Ranger Ghanshyam Chaturvedi, Deputy Ranger Sanjay Khuntapalle, who reached the spot on information, with sticks and sticks.
• Forest officials somehow saved their lives by running away from the spot. Meanwhile, Ranger Chaturvedi, Deputy Ranger Khoontapalle etc. have suffered serious injuries due to the blows of sticks, and have been brought to Kurai Hospital for treatment.
• A crowd of angry villagers vandalized the vehicles of Dial 100, Khawasa Ranger and Kurai Tehsildar of Kurai police station who reached the spot and broke glass panes etc.
• In this case, Kurai police station is taking action to register an FIR against the unknown attacking mob by conducting a health checkup of the injured officers and employees.
• Seoni Sub Divisional Officer Yugesh Patel said that the body of deceased Tulsiram Bhalavi was found in room number 362 of Pindarai Beat adjacent to Baoli Tola village.
• There was a stampede at the spot due to the mob attacking. The post-mortem of the body of the person killed in the tiger attack will be conducted on Friday morning, January 17.

The crowd came with sticks and sticks in their hands

• Khawasa Ranger Chaturvedi said that as soon as they reached the spot, a crowd of 30-40 people with sticks in their hands started beating and chasing away the forest staff.
• He suffered serious injuries at many places on his body in the mob attack. Other employees have also been injured.
• Kurai police station in-charge Laxman Jharia said that action is being taken to register an FIR in the case of attack on forest officials.
• The people in the crowd also vandalized three vehicles.
• It is noteworthy that Sukhram Uike (55), a farmer from Balaghat who had come to work in the fields on December 22 in Sillari village of Khawasa forest range in Balaghat-Seoni border, was attacked and killed by a tiger.
• Earlier on October 19, Aditya son of Yadorao Chavre (22), resident of Chikhli village of Khawasa forest range, was attacked and killed by a tiger.
• Whereas on November 29, 20-year-old youth Krishna Kumar Bhalawi was attacked and killed by a tiger in the forest of Bawanthadi village in the rough buffer of Pench Tiger Reserve.

Trying to convince the villagers

As soon as information about the incident was received, the forest department and police team reached the spot. To control the situation, an FIR was lodged against the attacking mob at Kurai police station. This attack has created panic among the administrative staff. Security has been increased in the area, and villagers are being counseled.
