Yesterday’s big news was related to BJP’s manifesto in Delhi. The party has promised to give one free cylinder each on Holi and Diwali. The second big news was regarding the attack on Saif Ali Khan. The police have not been able to catch the attacker yet.

1. Attack on Saif Ali – The person caught was not the accused, the driver who took him to the hospital said – the body was soaked in blood.
In the case of attack on Saif, two CCTVs have surfaced, in which a person is seen coming and going from the stairs to the apartment.
The suspect who was brought to Bandra Police Station for questioning in the case of attack on actor Saif Ali Khan has nothing to do with the case. Mumbai Police has not detained anyone yet. Earlier news agency ANI had told that the suspect of attack on Saif Ali Khan has been brought by the police for questioning. His name was said to be Shahid. It was said that 5 cases of house break were already registered against him.
Saif’s entire body was drenched in blood: Auto driver Bhajan Singh, who took Saif to the hospital, said, ‘I was driving at night. Someone called out from in front of Satguru building. Rickshaw, rickshaw. I stopped near the auto gate. A man came out from the gate. He was drenched in blood. There was a wound on the upper part of the body, blood was flowing profusely. I immediately put him in the rickshaw and took him to the hospital.
Reiki was also done at Shahrukh Khan’s house: Many media reports have claimed that on the night of January 14, a person was seen doing Reiki outside Shahrukh Khan’s house. However, the police say that they do not know anything about this. The DCP has appealed to the people not to spread rumours.

2. Delhi Elections: BJP’s resolution letter released, will give free cylinders on Holi-Diwali; AAP announces free bus travel for students
BJP national president JP Nadda said that if the BJP government is formed in Delhi, all the schemes of the present government will continue.
BJP released resolution letter for Delhi elections. Party president JP Nadda described it as ‘the foundation of developed Delhi’. He promised to give a subsidy of Rs 2500 every month to women in Delhi and Rs 500 on cylinders to poor women. Also announced to give one free cylinder each on Holi and Diwali. Nadda said that pregnant women will be given Rs 21,000 and 6 nutrition kits will also be given. The ongoing schemes of the present government regarding electricity, buses and water in Delhi will continue.
AAP announces free travel for students: Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that after winning the elections, the AAP government will make bus service free for students. That means any student can travel free in the bus. At the same time, students will also get 50% discount in metro.

3. Khel Ratna to 4 including shooter Manu-Chase World Champion Gukesh, Arjun Award to 34 players
President Draupadi Murmu honoring Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh and shooter Manu Bhaker with Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.
The winners of the National Sports Awards 2024 were honored by President Draupadi Murmu. Murmu first honored Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh with the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. Olympic double medal winning shooter Manu Bhaker, hockey team captain Harmanpreet Singh and para athlete Praveen Kumar were also honored with the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. 34 players were given Arjun Award. Of these, 17 are para-athletes, while 2 are for life time achievement. 5 coaches have also received Dronacharya Award.
Manu had won double medals in Paris Olympics: Manu Bhaker had won double Olympic medals in the Paris Olympic Games in August-September. She stood third in 10 meter air pistol individual and mixed doubles. On the basis of his two medals, India won a total of 6 medals in the Paris Olympics.
Gukesh is the new world champion of chess: 18-year-old Indian Grandmaster D Gukesh won the World Chess Championship title on December 11 in Singapore. He defeated defending champion Ding Liren of China in the final. Gukesh has become the first player in the world to win the title at such a young age. Earlier in 1985, Russia’s Garry Kasparov had won this title at the age of 22.

4. Foreign Ministry said- 12 Indians died in Ukraine-Russia war, 16 missing fighting on behalf of Russian army
So far 12 Indians fighting on behalf of Russia have died in Ukraine. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal gave this information. He said, ‘So far, cases of 126 Indian citizens joining the Russian Army have come to light. Of these, 96 people returned to India. There are still 18 Indian citizens stranded in Russia, out of which no information is available about 16. We are working for their return to their home country.
War continues for three years: Russia-Ukraine war is going on since 24 February 2022. During this period, the Russian Army was accused of forcibly sending many mercenaries and people from other countries into the war. Many Indians were also included in these. He had gone to Russia in search of a job, but got stuck there.

5. Film ‘Emergency’ not shown in Punjab, PVR stopped shows in 80 theatres; Kangana said- this is harassment of the artist

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency was released. Sikh organizations in Punjab came out against it on the very first day. Members of Sikh organizations protested with black flags outside theaters in Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Mohali. The film was not shown in any theater in the state. This film was to be shown in 70 to 80 theaters of PVR Group, but after the protests, the film was not shown in these theatres.
Legal notice sent to Kangana: A legal notice has been sent to Kangana on behalf of law student Safal Harpreet Singh, in which she has demanded an apology from the entire Punjab and Sikh community within 5 days. He said that if she does not respond to the legal notice, we will take recourse to law in this matter.

There are reports coming from many cities of Punjab that these people are not allowing the emergency to continue. This is complete oppression of the art and the artist. I respect all religions. Lies are being propagated to tarnish my image.

6. Ayushman scheme will not be implemented in Delhi at present, Supreme Court stayed the decision of Delhi High Court.
The Supreme Court has stayed the order of the Delhi High Court, in which the AAP government was asked to sign an MoU with the Center by January 5 to implement the Ayushman Bharat Mission. The court has sent a notice to the Center seeking its reply. On December 24, Delhi High Court had said that people should not be deprived of facilities. Delhi government had filed a petition against this in the Supreme Court. However, the Central Government has implemented it in 33 states and union territories.
After the Supreme Court’s decision, former CM Arvind Kejriwal said;-
Ayushman Bharat scheme is the biggest scam in the country. I am happy that the Supreme Court has confirmed this.

7. Imran Khan gets 14 years jail in corruption case, Bushra gets 7 years jail
A Pakistani court has sentenced former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in a corruption case. Imran got 14 years’ imprisonment and Bushra got 7 years’ imprisonment. Both were accused of causing a loss of 50 billion Pakistani rupees to the national treasury. Both of them had sold Pakistan government’s land worth billions of rupees cheaply to Bushra Bibi’s Al-Qadir Trust. Imran was arrested in this case on 9 May 2023. After this, many important army bases were attacked across the country.

8. 200 roads closed due to snowfall in Himachal, 117 flights, 27 trains late due to fog in Delhi.
Along with snowfall, dense fog is also continuously affecting the northern states of the country. Visibility reduced due to fog in 18 states on Friday morning. More than 117 flights were delayed in Delhi. Whereas, 10 were cancelled. 27 trains coming to Delhi also could not reach on time.
56 roads closed in Shimla: The high mountains of Himachal Pradesh have again turned white due to snowfall. 200 roads including 3 national highways are closed. In Shimla alone, 56 roads were closed and 15 HRTC buses were stuck in snowfall. The Meteorological Department said that there will be snowfall here on Saturday also.
