Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, after reaching Prayagraj today, visited the Mahakumbh Nagar Mela area and took a dip in the holy Sangam. Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that if his party comes to power again, it will take decisive steps to provide the benefits of free electricity and water scheme to the tenants also. Addressing a press conference in the national capital, he highlighted the concerns raised by Delhi tenants. He said, “Wherever I go, I meet people living on rent and they say that they have got good school and hospital facilities, but they are deprived of free electricity and water schemes.” Assuring resolution of the issue, Kejriwal said, “We will ensure that after the elections, tenants also get the benefit of free electricity and water.”
First merit list released for admission in first class
The first merit list for admission to nursery, KG and first class in private schools has been released, in which most of the schools have selected more than 150 students. On Friday, about 1,741 schools have released their merit list as well as waiting list. Delhi Public School, East of Kailash, has selected 108 candidates while 245 are in the waiting list. Similarly, Vikas Bharti Public School, Vasant Kunj, has selected 140 students and kept 20 in the waiting list.
Sudha Acharya, Principal of ILT Public School, Dwarka, said that 97 candidates have been selected in the first phase and 53 are in the waiting list. Namita Singhal, Principal of Venkateshwara Global School, Rohini, said that 108 students have been selected, out of which nine are in the waiting list.
Saif Ali Khan’s condition is improving
The condition of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is improving and he is expected to be discharged in two to three days. Doctors gave this information on Saturday. An intruder attacked Saif with a knife in his Mumbai house and injured him. Khan (54) was seriously injured when a man attacked him multiple times with a knife in his 12th floor flat in Bandra on Thursday morning. The actor was stabbed at several places including his neck and spine, after which he underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
Flights delayed due to fog in Delhi
Some flights have been delayed at IGI Airport due to fog in the national capital. Due to which the journeys are becoming a lot of trouble. On the other hand, Hyderabad Metro provided the facility of green corridor for a heart transplant. This facilitated fast and seamless transportation from Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar to Gleneagles Global Hospital in Lakdi Pul area, through which a donor heart could be delivered. The metro covered the distance of 13 km across 13 stations in just 13 minutes, saving vital time in this life-saving mission.
