Security forces have started a search operation in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Based on information received about the movement of suspicious persons, police, army and CRPF personnel along with Village Defense Guards (VDG) have launched a search operation in the forest areas of Bilwar belt. Apart from this, security has been increased in Jammu region.
Officials have said that the area has been cordoned off. Local people have been advised to stay indoors. Additional soldiers have been sent to the area. Security has been tightened around suspicious places.
According to officials, Army, BSF, CRPF, police and VDG personnel are maintaining strict vigil along the International Border (IB), Line of Control (LOC) and sensitive areas of various hilly and border districts.
