Baba, who was injured by a bullet, died during treatment at around 11:30 pm on the night of 12 October.
Police has filed a charge sheet in the murder case of Baba Siddiqui, leader of NCP Ajit faction. In this charge sheet, the main shooter Shivkumar Gautam, who shot Baba, has claimed that Anmol ordered to kill him due to Siddiqui’s relationship with Dawood Ibrahim and being involved in the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
On October 12, former Maharashtra minister Siddiqui was shot dead by three attackers outside his son Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office in Bandra East area of Mumbai. Shivkumar is one of them.
Gautam also claimed that he was instructed to kill one of Baba or Zeeshan Siddiqui. For this, it was promised to give 15 lakh rupees.
Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Bandra East area on the night of 12 October. He was going to sit in his car outside his son Zeeshan’s office.

- He said that if money is needed, Shubham will make arrangements. We are convinced that both Lonkar Bhai work for him. At the behest of Shubham, I downloaded Snapchat on my mobile and started talking directly to Anmol Bishnoi.
3 accused wanted in 4500 pages charge sheet
Apart from Gautam, Iqabalia statements of six more people are part of a charge sheet of more than 4500 pages filed in the MCOCA court against 26 accused. Shubham Lonkar, Yasin Akhtar and Anmol Bishnoi have been shown as wanted accused.
According to the statement of shooter Gurmail Singh, it was offered to give Rs 50,000 to go out of the country in August 2024 for Siddiqui’s murder.
Sujit Singh, an accused in the case, claimed that he was inspired by him after seeing a post of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who was jailed on social media in 1998.

Baba Siddiqui, a 3 -time MLA, was the big face of the Congress in Maharashtra. In February 2024, he joined the NCP of Ajit faction.
