Mumbai. The rift between South’s top actress Nayanthara and top actor Dhanush has now come to public place. In a long note, Nayanthara has issued a statement on the controversy related to Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’, in which she revealed that because of Dhanush, her documentary could not be released for 2 years. She kept waiting for his permission. When Dhanush did not give permission, he deleted the song from the 2015 film ‘Naanam Rowdy Dhaan’.
Actually, there was a song in the Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale’ in ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’. Dhanush was the producer of this film and was its owner. Nayanthara alleges that Dhanush demanded Rs 10 crore for using this song in the documentary. Not only this, a legal notice was also sent for using this film in the BTS documentary.
Nayanthara has shown a lot of anger towards Dhanush in her statement. He said that he is not a relative like him. Coming from outside the industry, he has made a name for himself on the basis of his hard work. Rajinikanth and many directors supported him in this. He further added, “After battling with you for 2 years for NOC and waiting for your approval for the release of our Netflix documentary…”

Nayanthara further said, “We finally edited and sacrificed for the current version. Because you refused to give permission to use the songs or scene cuts or even photos of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ despite several requests.” Nayanthara further alleged that the scenes used in her documentary were shot from people’s phones and also criticized Dhanush for objecting to it.
Nayanatara advocated fighting a legal battle.

Nayanthara further said, “This is your worst performance till date and tells a lot about your character. I wish you were half the person you present yourself on stage at the audio launch in front of your innocent fans, but clearly you don’t follow the knowledge you impart, at least to me and my partner. Not for it.”
Nayanthara will respond to the legal notice
Nayanthara also questioned Dhanush’s ‘retaliation’ against her and said that she would give a befitting reply to his legal notice. He wrote, “I have received your legal notice and we will respond appropriately through legal means. Your refusal to grant NOC for the use of elements of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ for our Netflix documentary may be justified by you in the courts from a copyright point of view, but I would like to remind you that there is a moral side to it as well, Which should be defended in the court of God.” Dhanush has not yet reacted to Nayanthara’s attack.
