A case of serving poor food has come to light in many restaurants in Indore. The district administration has fined these restaurants and issued notices to them. There have been complaints of serving inferior food in the OAM of Chokhi Dhani, Meriat and Finix.

On Friday, the district administration has imposed a fine of lakhs of rupees while taking action on serving non -standard food items at establishments such as Chokhi Dhani, Meriat’s Fairfield and OAM industry operated in Finix goods.
Investigated more than 50 places
The administration investigated more than 50 such establishments, out of which 26 have been fined Rs 22 lakh for irregularities. These samples were sent to the state laboratory in Bhopal. Apart from this, action has also been taken against the famous paan Vilas Masala on selling Miss brand goods.
A fine of one crore rupees was recovered in a year
Officials said that a fine of about one crore rupees has been recovered throughout the year. This has been the highest recovery amount ever. Additional Collector Gaurav Benal said that a fine of Rs 1 crore has been charged since January 2023.
To maintain purity in food, our team takes action to take regular sampling. If the sample fails, then non -standard and false food items are found. Constant action is being taken on such establishments.
True beads also adulterated
During the investigation, the Food Department team took samples of Pohe from the United Compound in Lasudia Mori. Adulteration has been revealed in its report. This Godown is in the name of Sabu Sons. From here, it was found to collect and sell non -standard true pearl poha (pack), Mithyachap Poha etc. Which has been fined 50 thousand rupees.

Chokhi dhani
Lack: Fry the buffalo in oil and put ghee on it. Whereas customers used to charge fee by giving information about the bifaries fried in ghee.
Fines: 1.5 lakh rupees
Fairfield Meriat
Decreased: Unacimant yogurt and cheese were found. It was served to customers.
Fines: Rs 1.2 lakh
OAM Industries, Finix goods
Decreased: Unacimic cheese was found, it was served to customers.
Fines: 1.5 lakh rupees
