Fishing boat collides with Indian Navy ship, 11 people rescued, search for 2 continues – India TV Hindi

An accident occurred with the Indian Navy in the sea northwest of Goa on Thursday. An Indian fishing vessel Marthoma collided with an Indian Navy ship. According to the information, there was a crew of 13 people on board the fishing vessel. The Navy has successfully rescued 11 of these people. Meanwhile, a rescue operation is being conducted to save two other people.

How did the accident happen?

The Indian Navy has informed about this accident that there was a collision between an Indian Navy ship and fishing Marthoma, 70 nautical miles off the coast of Goa. This accident happened on Thursday evening. After the accident, search and rescue efforts were immediately started by the Indian Navy. So far 11 crew members have been recovered.

Navy is carrying out rescue operation

Efforts are underway by the Navy to search and rescue two personnel of the fishing vessel. It has been informed by the Navy that coordination is being done with MRCC (Mumbai). Additional assets have been dispatched to augment rescue efforts. More details are awaited.
