However, if he is stopped this year, he will not be able to participate in IPL till 2027. IPL has made changes in the auction rules this year. Under the new rule, players who have previously participated in the league but did not register for the mega-auction will not be allowed to register for the next mini-auction. If a player is bought in the auction and withdraws his name without any valid reason, he will be banned for two years.
