Photomania 2024: Young photographer photography shines in national photography competition

Photography: 205 participants across the country participated in the National Photography Competition “Photomania” organized by Vivekananda Global University, in which Tanveer Ali achieved success by securing first place.

Photography: The National Photography Competition of Vivekananda Global University (VGU) was organized by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication on Nature, Wildlife, Lifestyle and Culture theme under the name “Photomania”. The competition was a great opportunity for students, professional photographers and photography enthusiasts, so that they could present their art and creativity on a large platform. In this competition based on the subject of “Arts from the eyes of art”, the participants performed their photography skills and visual arts. 205 participants from universities across the country participated in this competition. Senior Executive of NDTV was Mr. Ravi Pathak as the chief guest in this competition.

The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp in front of Maa Saraswati. After which Vivekananda Global University Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N. D. Mathur said in his early lecture that, “Our university aims to provide students with opportunities to move forward not only from the educational point of view but also in different dimensions of creativity.” Photography is an art, which presents any scene from a unique point of view. Through this competition, we want to provide young artists an opportunity to share our thoughts and art.

Mr. Ravi Pathak, Senior Executive, who came from NDTV Delhi as the chief guest, said that all the participants of natural beauty, environment and culture in India have performed well of their art. At the same time, Hemant Chore, who came from Canon India, told about the camera closely in the workshop. In the competition, Tanveer Ali of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University got first place, while Bhagyashree of Amity University got second place and Priyanshu Jacob of Graphic Era University got third place. Also, two students received consolation prizes, which include Lucky Sharma and Himanshu Kumar.
