Kunba of cheetahs increased in Kuno’s forest, left Gamini with four cubs

In Kuno, Cheetah Gamini and her cubs have been freed from the enclosure and left for the independent variance on the land of Madhya Pradesh. On Monday, the female cheetah Gamini and her 4 cubs brought from South Africa were released into the open forest. Due to which the number of cheetahs in the open forest increased to 17. Now more leopards than the enclosure have become in the open forest, so during the safari, tourists will easily be seen. This will also increase the number of tourists. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav shared the post on the ex account and said that today is a remarkable day for Cheetah project.

Let me tell you, the female cheetah Gamini brought from South Africa gave birth to six cubs on 10 March 2024, but two cubs later died. Since then Gamini and four of her cubs were locked in the enclosure. On Monday, the Kuno management has given Gamini and four of her cubs which have 2 male and 2 females, their age. The Khajuri forest area has been released successfully in the open forest of Kuno National Park. Mother and all four cubs are healthy. Khajuri forest area is part of Ahera Tourism Zone. Now, due to the presence of cheetahs in the tourism sector, tourists can get an opportunity to see cheetahs during the Safari Yatra. The forest department wearing a collar ID to Gamini and her cubs will be able to monitor them in the open forest.

After entering from Ticketoli Gate, tourists can close the cheetahs closely. Because Jwala and her cubs, Asha, Dheera and Asha cubs were released into the Khajuri forest area. These forest areas are Najdaki of Ticketoli Gate. Only fire and air are left at the Peepalwadi Gate. Now Gamini and her cubs are also left in this area, more leopards are roaming in this area. Therefore, the leopards can easily see the leopards. The tourists who have now seen leopards have appeared in the area. There are wildlife, river, waterfalls and attractive views in the Ticketoli area, so tourists also like to roam here.

Now 17 cheetahs roaming free in open forest

On 4 December 2024, he was released into Agni and air and open forests. After this, on 5 February, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav left three cubs of Asha, Dheera and Asha in the open. On 21 February, Jwala and his four cubs were released into the open forest. On 17 March 2025, the female cheetah Gamini and four of her cubs are released into the open forest with two males and female. Now 6 adults and 11 cubs are roaming in the open forest. Kuno National Park has a total of 26 leopards, out of which 17 are roaming in the open. The remaining 09 leopards are currently present in the big enclosures of Kuno National Park.

Three gates in Kuno National Park

Kuno National Park has three gates. Sesaipura Ticketoli Gate is the main gate to go to Kuno Park. All three gates were opened for tourists in October, since then they have been open. It is easy to reach Sasaipura village at the Tatkoli entrance. It is easy to arrive from Pohri village to reach Ahera Gate. Peepal Bawdi is the third gate. You can reach Agra village to enter from this gate.

Tourists in the current Kuno National Park can enter the gates with all three. The visiting tourists can visit the garden between 6:30 and 10:00 in the morning. Admission will not be given after 7:30 am. For the evening, you can visit Kuno National Park between 3:00 and 6 pm. Admission will not be given at 4:00 pm. There is a holiday in Kuno on Wednesday. The gypsy vehicle in which six people (including driver and guide) can sit, its fare is Rs 750. If there are more than six people, an additional Rs 150 per person will have to be paid. The guide fee is Rs 360 and it applies to private vehicles. Currently, private vehicles are also allowed to enter the park.
