Mial proposes in front of Aera to make Mumbai airport state -of -the -art, promise of better service

Adaani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) assistant company and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIL) is taking a strategic step to increase passenger facilities with a harmonious and well -organized experience. In a proposal placed before the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA), Mial has suggested a user development fee (UDF) for domestic passengers to start infrastructure and technological development schemes at Mumbai Airport and Rs 650 for domestic passengers and Rs 650 for international passengers.

The proposal of Mial is an attempt to meet this change and reduce the impact on passengers. Also, reduce airline landing and parking fee by about 35 percent, so that a balance can be made between increasing infrastructure and maintaining world -class airport operations. This deficiency is expected to have a positive impact on air fare from Mumbai, so that the airlines can manage costs more efficiently and maintain competitive ticket prices.

CSMIA has the current benefit (YPP) per passenger is Rs 285. The proposal given to the AERA aims to modify the YPP to about Rs 332, which reflects an 18% increase, which is in line with the consultation paper issued by the AERA on 10 March 2025.

MIAL will strengthen Mumbai’s position as a global aviation center

In the next five years, the construction of the infrastructure of the airport will be invested Rs 10,000 crore and will receive a total revenue of Rs 7,600 crore from the expected number of 229 million passengers, reflecting a balanced approach in revenue recovery. The new tariff structure proposes to move the revenue mix strategically, with an increase in the UDF as well as a reduction in landing and parking fee by 35 percent.
