After the violence that took place recently during the survey of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, the first Friday prayers in the city ended peacefully today. There was high alert in the entire state regarding Friday prayers. In Sambhal, tight security arrangements were made in and around the mosques for the prayers and heavy police force was deployed. Police had conducted flag marches in every district of the state to keep the situation under control. However, Friday prayers passed off peacefully across the state with utmost care.

Sambhal District Magistrate Rajendra Pansia said that there is peace everywhere and security meetings have been held. There is no problem, Friday prayers were offered smoothly. He said that everyone is cooperating and the security arrangements are completely strong. The police and administration have taken all necessary steps to avoid any untoward incident regarding Friday prayers.

Meanwhile, after offering Friday prayers in Bareilly today, IMC chief Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan left for Sambhal. However, the police stopped them in CBganj. The police took them to the police station. Whereas Maulana is adamant on taking control. Earlier in Bareilly, Maulana Tauqeer said that Muslims are being crushed in the battle of Lucknow and Delhi.

Another Namazi said that this is a matter of revenue records and government documents. He told that the matter of UP College and Waqf Board has come up. In which we have our tombs and mosques. This mosque dates back to the era of Nawab Tok. After that someone should see 1291 arrangements. There are all the papers of this mosque. We are with the Waqf Board. This is the land of Nawabs. It has complete papers. This mosque is from ancient times. Will take all the papers to the Waqf Board.

On the other hand, there was alert after the violence in Amroha. A large number of police were deployed outside the mosque here. Police forces were deployed in civil dress. Monitoring was being done through drones and CCTV. After the incident in Sambhal, a large-scale route march was conducted in the entire city by the police force in Bahraich district. Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla herself toured with PAC and RRF. Along with this, monitoring was done at various places through drones.

Police remained on alert mode in Firozabad also. Sensitive areas were monitored through drone cameras. All the senior officers of the district were seen deployed in the field along with the police force. The police along with the intelligence department kept a close watch on the anarchic elements. SP City itself took charge. Police were also seen on alert mode in Kanpur. During the Friday prayers, arrangements were seen in full swing. A special watch was kept on those who committed anarchy. Sensitive areas were monitored through drones.

At the same time, today the Supreme Court has given important instructions on Sambhal violence and has asked the lower court not to hear the Sambhal Jama Masjid case. Besides, the Supreme Court has also instructed the administration to improve law and order. The Supreme Court has asked the petitioner to go to the High Court and said that now any action can be taken only on the instructions of the High Court.
