The matter reached the Labor Court of Germany and a legal battle began in the matter.

After a long legal battle, the order in this case was given by the Labor Court of Hesse State of Germany. The court termed the bank’s decision to fire the employee as wrong. The court said that the clerk did not commit this mistake intentionally. The court also said that even if the employee did not pay attention to his mistake, he should not be dismissed for his actions.

The court also mentioned in its order that on the day of the incident of wrongful transaction of 222 million Euros, the employee was handling 812 documents and he was able to spend only a few seconds on each document. The court emphasized in its order that no evidence of willful negligence on the part of the employee was found. The court said that in this case a formal warning was sufficient instead of dismissal.
