The Test series being played between India and Australia is now in the news. Although the series has started a long time ago, but only after the second match, what happens in the competition between these two teams has started becoming visible in the series. While Team India won the first match, the Australian team managed to win the second match. Meanwhile, in the second test, Indian team’s star fast bowler Mohammad Siraj and Australia’s big player Travis Head came face to face. Some words were exchanged between the two. Now ICC has announced strict punishment regarding this matter.
ICC sentenced Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head
Finding Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head guilty, the ICC has imposed a fine of 20 percent of the match fee. ICC has said that both these players have violated ICC Rule 2.5. Not only this, ICC has also admitted that Travis Head has also violated Rule 2.13. Along with this, Siraj and Travis Head have also been given one demerit point each. However, the matter of relief so far is that both the players have not been banned for any further matches. ICC had already made it clear that both the players were at fault and now the punishment has been announced.
The entire incident happened after Travis Head was out.
You must remember that in the second pink ball test between India vs Australia, Travis Head played a brilliant inning of 140 runs for his team. This was the innings which changed the course of the match. Mohammad Siraj finally succeeded in dismissing Head. As soon as Travis headed out, he said something to Siraj. Perhaps Head had not said some good words for Siraj, on this Siraj also signaled him to go out. The matter ended here, but the video of this entire matter had gone viral on social media.
Siraj and Head expressed their views
During this time, respective statements of Head and Siraj were also revealed. Travis Head said that he had praised Siraj’s good ball. However, Siraj probably felt something else, after which he angrily signaled them to go out. After this, when Siraj was talked about in this whole matter, he said that Head was batting very well, he had even hit a six just before getting out. When Siraj dismissed Head, they started celebrating. On this, Travis Head used some abusive words, on which he signaled Head to go out. Overall, perhaps both of them might have given the same statement in front of the ICC, after which the ICC has given its order to both of them.
