The mini auction of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 will take place today i.e. on December 15. Bidding for 124 players will start at 3 pm in Bengaluru. The auction list includes 95 Indian and 29 international players.

There are vacancies for 19 players in the 5 teams of WPL, out of which 14 Indian and 5 foreign players will be purchased. 3 players from associate countries have also been included in the list. Of the players available for auction, 33 players are capped, of which 12 are Indians, 21 are foreigners. Whereas among the remaining 91 uncapped players, 83 are Indians and 8 are foreigners.

Purse limit Rs 15 crore 5 teams have a total purse of Rs 16.7 crore, Gujarat Giants will take home the highest purse of Rs 4.40 crore. The third season of WPL will start in January or February next year. A team has a purse limit of Rs 15 crore. After player retention, the purse of the teams has been cut. Delhi is left with a purse of Rs 2.50 crore and Mumbai has only Rs 2.65 crore. Bengaluru has a purse of Rs 3.25 crore and UP has a purse of Rs 3.90 crore.

Names of Sneh Rana and Diandra Dottin included in the marquee players. The marquee players available for auction include the names of Indian batsmen Tejal Hasbanis and Sneh Rana, West Indies’ Deandra Dottin, English captain Heather Knight. Apart from these, Orla Prendergast of Ireland, Lauren Bell of England, Kim Garth of Australia and Daniel Gibson of England will also enter the auction.

MI releases English all-rounder Isabel Wong The most surprising decision in retention was taken by Mumbai and Gujarat. MI released English all-rounder Isabelle Wong and GG released Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana. Wong’s name has also not been added to the auction, while Rana’s name will be up for bid.

Keep an eye on these Indian uncapped players Teams can buy Raghavi Bist of Uttarakhand in the mini auction. Raghavi had scored 2 consecutive half centuries against Australia-A in August this year. After which he was recently selected in the T-20 series against West Indies. 21-year-old batsman Tanisha Singh had scored 359 runs at an average of around 72 while playing for Delhi in the Senior Women’s T-20 Trophy. Delhi Capitals and Bengaluru can include him in their team.

Tanisha Singh scored 94 runs on 50 balls while playing for Assam in the Senior Women’s T-20 Trophy.

Which team retained how many players? There is space for 18 players in a squad. Except UP, all the teams retained 14-14 players. UP retained 15 players. That means, only 3 players are vacant in UP and 4 players each in other teams. RCB is the defending champion of the tournament. Mumbai had won the title of the first season. Both the teams had defeated Delhi Capitals in the final.
