Indian bowler Mohammed Shami, who is returning to cricket after almost a year, has taken 4 wickets for Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy match. This has increased his chances of going on Australia tour.
On Thursday, the second day of the match, Madhya Pradesh team was all out for 167 runs in the first innings. Mohammed Shami took 4 wickets for 54 runs including 4 maidens in 19 overs bowling. He took the wickets of captain Shubham Sharma (8 runs), Saransh Jain (7 runs), Kumar Karthikeya (9 runs) and Kulwant Khejroliya (0). Shami did not get any wicket a day earlier.
For Madhya Pradesh, Subhranshu Senapati played an inning of 47 runs and Rajat Patidar played an inning of 41 runs. The remaining batsmen could not perform well. In the match, Bengal team was all out for 228 runs in the first innings.
Mohammed Shami bowled 10 overs on the first day of the match. He did not get any wicket.
