India and Pakistan will play test match on the same day
World Test Championship: There is a possibility of a big change again in the World Test Championship points table. The Indian cricket team is preparing to play its fourth match in the ongoing series against Australia. This match will be played in Melbourne from 26 December. It is not that only the teams of India and Australia will face each other on this day. Another match is going to take place from this day, when the teams of South Africa and Pakistan will also be clashing with each other. However, the timing of both the matches will be different, so you can watch it easily. Well, if seen, another i.e. third Test is also going to start on the same day, but this match will not be played under the World Test Championship. Therefore, the result of this match will not have any impact on the WTC points table.
Apart from India vs Australia, South Africa vs Pakistan test will also start.
The teams of India and Australia will face each other in Melbourne on December 26 from 5 am. The toss will take place half an hour before this i.e. at 4.30. This time is according to Indian time, keep this in mind. If everything goes well then the day’s play will end in India at around 12 o’clock in the day. After this the competition between South Africa and Pakistan will start. The Pakistani team is currently on the tour of South Africa. Pakistan has shown amazing performance in the ODI series and has thrashed South Africa, but now it is the turn of Test.
Teams of India, Australia and South Africa are contenders to go to the finals
A two-Test series is to be played between South Africa and Pakistan, the first match of which will start from December 26. This match in India will start at around 1.30 in the afternoon. That means by then the first day’s play between India and Australia would have been over. These two matches become more important because the teams of India, South Africa and Australia are currently considered to be the strongest contenders to go to the WTC final. At present, these three teams occupy the top 3 positions in the points table. South African team is at first position with highest PCT. Australia team is at second place and Team India is at third place. While there will be another huge upset in the points table after these two matches, the picture of the final will also become clear to a great extent.
Test match will also start between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe
Apart from this, the test match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will also start from 26th December. This match is also important for both these teams, but this match is not a part of the World Test Championship. Therefore, the result of this match will not have any impact on the World Test Championship points table. If seen this way, three test matches will start from the same day. A total of six teams will be playing their respective matches. That means the next four-five days are going to be very interesting.
