Myth 5: Hymen breaks during first time sex

Sometimes this can happen even during makeout without penetration.

Myth 6: Having sex for the first time does not cause STIs

Fact: No one is safe from this. If you are not using protection, you can get an STI even after having sex for the first time. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 20 million new STDs are diagnosed in the United States each year. Last year, the number reached an all-time high in the US, with more than two million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis reported in the country.
