Naman Dheer was born on 31 December 1999 in Ambala city of Haryana. Today he is celebrating his birthday and has turned 25 years old. Born in Haryana, Naman plays for Punjab in domestic cricket. He has proved his worth in domestic cricket and won the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He had performed excellently then. After this he was successful in attracting the attention of the scouting network of Mumbai Indians. He played well in the Sher-e Punjab T20 tournament. Then his luck ran out in the IPL Auction 2024. When the Mumbai Indians team bought him at a base price of Rs 20 lakh and included him in the squad.

Then Mumbai Indians’ lethal batsman Suryakumar Yadav got injured and due to this, young Naman Dheer got a chance to play at number 3 in the Mumbai team. He fully capitalized on this opportunity and managed to impress everyone with his powerful batting. He made his debut in IPL against Gujarat Titans, when he batted stormily in the over of Azmatullah Umarzai and hit three fours and a six in this over. In IPL 2024, he scored a total of 140 runs while playing 7 matches, which included a half-century. During this period, his highest score was 62 runs.

Mumbai Indians team made millionaire

Naman Dheer had kept his base price at Rs 30 lakh for IPL Mega Auction 2025. There was a bidding war between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians to buy him. In the end, Mumbai won. Mumbai team got him back through RTM for Rs 5.25 crore.

Naman Dhir has so far scored 604 runs in 17 first-class matches at an average of 25.16, which includes two centuries and two half-centuries. He also took part in a List-A match. Apart from this, he has 311 runs in his name in 19 T20 matches.
