A young man was beaten to death in mob lynching in Moradabad. SP City Ran Vijay Singh said that the mob had caught the youth while cow slaughtering.

The incident occurred at 3:30 am on Monday. The mob beat the young man with sticks and kicks so much that he became unconscious. Police reached the spot and admitted the young man to the hospital, where he died during treatment on Monday night.
The name of the deceased is Shahedin. He was a resident of Asalatpura. The administration conducted the postmortem of the body in the night itself. The family buried the body the next morning. The force has been increased after tension increased in the area.
People kicked and punched Shahedin.
The crowd had arrived after receiving information about cow slaughter. The incident took place at 3.30 am on Monday in Mandi Committee in Majhola police station area. People nearby got wind that some people were slaughtering cows in the Mandi Committee premises. As soon as they got wind of this, a crowd of local people gathered.
The remaining 3 out of 4 people ran away, but Shahedin was caught by the mob. He kept folding his hands to escape. But, the angry crowd did not listen to him. He was so badly hit that he became terminally ill. This entire area is Hindu dominated.

Died in hospital after 21 hours The police took Shahedin, who was badly injured in the mob lynching, to a private hospital. He died during treatment after 21 hours at 12:30 on Monday night. Local people said- Incidents of cow slaughter have taken place in the Mandi Committee premises in the past also. The crowd went out of control after seeing the cow slaughter.
After the beating, Shahedin was bleeding from his mouth and nose.
Police forces deployed in the entire area In the video of the fight that has surfaced, the severed head of a cow is also visible. The matter was sensitive. Therefore the officers conducted the postmortem at night. The body was buried amid tight security at 10 am on Tuesday. Forces from nearby police stations were deployed in the area from 7 am onwards. Vigil is still being maintained in the Idgah area.
Due to the sensitive nature of the matter, force was increased in the area.
Case of culpable homicide registered Shahedin’s brother complained about the incident to the police. Said- My brother was beaten up by some people in the Mandi Committee premises on Monday. He got injured in this. He died during treatment. Late night, the police registered a case of culpable homicide against unknown people who assaulted them.
SP City Ran Vijay Singh said – The youth who was caught red handed while cow slaughtering has died. In this case, a report has been registered against unknown people who assaulted. People are being identified on the basis of video.
