He also gave his best performance in two consecutive camps organized at Manit College, Bhopal from 7th December to 25th December. Ultimately Hrishikesh Billaure, Indore was declared as the best cadet of the Air Wing. Similarly, the names of the best cadets of Army and Navy, Aryan Sen, Bhopal and Piyush Jabalpur have also been announced.

Timarni. It is the dream of every NCC cadets to get selected for RDC (Republic Day Camp). Timarni’s son Hrishikesh Billaure has made this dream come true. He has been selected as the best cadet of Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh NCC Air Wing.
Next month (Republic Day Celebration – 2025), he will salute the tricolor by participating in the parade to be held on the duty path of Delhi. The selection process for RDC had started from August 2024 itself.
In five camps, Rishikesh consistently maintained its position in the result list of parade test, proficiency in firing, interview to officers, group discussion and written examination.
These three best cadets have been selected after a competition among about 40 thousand cadets coming under Directed. Similarly, teams of different genres were selected.
After the flag off ceremony, they were sent to RDC Delhi by Bhopal Express on Thursday.
Second chance for pride in the family
Before this, a moment of pride had come in the family in 2011, when Bhanu Billaure was selected for RDC. He was a student of Khalsa College, Indore. Had obtained “C” certificate of NCC. After returning from Delhi RDC, he became so obsessed with defense that Bhanu joined the Air Force.
How the passion for air wing arose
- Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman… Armies all over the world are familiar with this name. It is not known exactly how much attention his bravery attracted the youth of the world, but he became a role model for the Indian youth, and still is.
- It must be remembered that Wing Commander Abhinandan had shot down the Pakistani aircraft (F-16) with MiG-21 and himself jumped with parachute.
- The world is also aware of what happened to them after they landed on Pakistani soil. Ultimately Wing Commander Abhinandan returned to India safely.
- This incident was widely publicized on TV and newspapers. It had a deep impact on the minds of Indian youth.
- Like Abhinandan, the youth had taken a pledge to serve the country. With the same spirit and passion, some youth are moving towards their goals. One of them is Hrishikesh Billaure, son of Timarni.
- Hrishikesh Billaure, who studied from KG-1 to Higher Secondary (Maths Science) in English medium at Sankalp Public School, Timarni, is currently a third year student of Holkar Science College, Indore.
- Rishikesh has also joined NCC (Air Wing) in college.
- During the first flight camp of his life, he did an aircraft sortie with 1MP, Commanding Officer of the Air Squadron. Rishi remained in the air for 26 minutes from take off to landing.
