Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Kashmir was, is and will remain a part of India. Some people tried to separate it, but that barrier has also been removed. Whatever we had lost, we will soon get it back. Shah further said that we know that Kashmir is known as the land of Kashyap, perhaps Kashmir is named after him.

Shah’s appeal to historians: The Home Minister said that historians tried to tell the history of Kashmir through books. I appeal to historians to write our thousands of years old history with facts.

When Kashmir and Jhelum are mentioned in 8000 years old books, no one can comment on whose Kashmir it is. Kashmir is an integral part of India and has always been so. No one can set it aside using sections of the law.
