While all the teachers in Haryana are celebrating the winter vacation from January 1 to 15, a Junior Basic Training (JBT) teacher is teaching English to the children for free. His class is held in Chaupal of Kabrachcha village of Jind district.

,

He made arrangements for the education of his children at his own expense. In which, in the last 6 days alone, 60 children are coming to him for studies. Classes are being held for 2 hours daily. Like in school, here too there is a prayer every day before the start of class. Rajesh Kumar has also passed Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 7 times.

5 big things about JBT teacher

1. Thought of giving coaching while sitting at home

JBT teacher Rajesh Kumar told that he has come to the village during winter holidays. One day he was sitting idle at home. Then it came to his mind that why not teach English to the village children. This will not only help children gain knowledge of English but will also strengthen their grip on the subject. After this, he decided to teach English for free to the children studying in class 1st to 12th of the village.

2. Interest in studies will remain, you will get benefits in future

Rajesh said that generally students from rural areas are somewhat weak in English subject. Due to English subject, students also start avoiding studies. If they are told about it, they will continue their studies and their interest will also remain. They will get a lot of benefit from it in future. If they have a grasp on the English subject from the beginning, then they will not need to take coaching from outside in the future.

3. Arranged board at own expense

He informed the Sarpanch and villagers about providing free coaching to the children. Hearing this the villagers started praising him. He spoke to the principal of the village government school. Could not get place in school due to government order. After this he arranged for board at his own expense.

4. Classes are being held for 2 hours daily

The Sarpanch said that he can give coaching to the children in the village Chaupal. After this he contacted the villagers and told them about free coaching in English subject. Now classes are being held every morning from 9:30 to 11:30. Around 60 students are coming to study English subject.

5. I felt like studying and teaching from the beginning

The family members complained to him that nowadays children are getting attracted towards mobile phones and TV. However, using mobile and tab is not wrong. It is very important in studies. I am still connected with studies. I study along with my job. I also get a lot of information from the internet. From the beginning I was convinced that I wanted to study and teach.

Retired BEO said – all teachers should do this
