Dead bodies of 4 people of the same family have been found in Bengaluru. These include husband, wife and their two children. This family, originally from Prayagraj, was living in a rented house located in RMV Stage-2 of Sadashivnagar police station area in Bengaluru for the last two years. The deceased have been identified as 38-year-old Anup Kumar, his 35-year-old wife Rakhi, their 5-year-old daughter Anupriya and 2-year-old son Priyansh. Anup Kumar was living in Bengaluru to work as a software consultant in a private firm.

The family’s domestic help arrived for work on Monday morning. When there was no response despite repeated knocking on the door, calling etc., the domestic help informed the neighbors about the matter. Then the neighbors tried and after losing they informed the police. Sadashivnagar police along with forensic experts reached the spot and started investigation. Police is considering it as a case of suicide. However, the reasons behind the deaths are being ascertained. Police have also come to know that the couple’s daughter Anupriya was a special child. He needed a lot of care. The family was troubled by this.

DCP Shekhar H Teknavar of Bengaluru City Central said that this family is a resident of Prayagraj, UP. More information is being collected about these people. At first glance, the clear cause of death has not been known. At present, the bodies have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. Police is investigating the case from every angle.

The house help said this

Police quoted the domestic help as saying that the entire family seemed happy on Sunday. The family had employed three women, including two cooks and a caretaker, for their children. All three used to get Rs 15,000 per month. No suicide note has been found yet from the incident site. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

The software consultant had left the job about a month ago. He had invested some money in his relative’s project, but there too he was cheated. He was planning to go to Pune. His elder daughter was 5 years old. He had some health related problems. At this time he faced these financial problems. His wife was also going through depression due to some family issues. All these factors led to this tragic incident. A senior police officer said, “Before killing himself, whether he killed others or poisoned them will be clear only after the post-mortem.
