The decision can be taken today whether Lady IPS officer Ilma Afroz, who clashed with Congress MLA in Himachal Pradesh, will remain SP of Baddi district or not. A PIL regarding this will be heard in the Himachal High Court.

In the last hearing in this matter, the State Home Secretary and DGP have given clarification. In which he claimed that Ilma herself had written to him that she did not want to work in Baddi and should be transferred somewhere else.

The special thing is that due to the investigation in a sexual exploitation case of Nalagarh, the High Court itself has banned the transfer of Ilma Afroz from Baddi. For this reason the government is not able to transfer Ilma at its own level.

After the confrontation with the MLA, IPS officer Ilma Afroz broke her silence in a college in Moradabad, UP. He had said that I fulfilled the responsibility honestly.

Challans issued for MLA’s wife’s vehicles Ilma Afroz started work as SP of Baddi on January 7, 2024. In August 2024, Ilma issued challans for vehicles related to mining of MLA Ramkumar Chaudhary’s wife. This made the MLA angry. After this the conflict between the two increased. The MLA even got Ilma a notice of breach of privilege from the Assembly.

Scrap businessman’s connection with politicians Meanwhile, a firing incident took place in Baddi, in which bullets were fired at the bullet proof vehicle of scrap businessman Ram Kishan. He was earlier demanding All India Gun License from the police, but SP Ilma did not approve it considering the previous record of the businessman. Investigation revealed that Ram Kishan himself opened fire. Ilma started taking action against him. Was close to business leaders. Due to this also there was pressure on SP, but she did not step back from action.

Had a meeting in Shimla, then suddenly vacated the house and went with her mother. Ilma reached Shimla on 6 November 2024 to attend the DC-SP meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Here he met some leaders and senior police officers.

The same day Ilma Afroz returned to Baddi. She suddenly packed her belongings from the government residence and then returned to her village in Uttar Pradesh with her mother. Although he did not say anything to anyone. After Ilma’s leave, HPS Vinod Dhiman is looking after the charge of SP Baddi.

Returned after 40 days, kept waiting for joining After this Ilma Afroz remained on leave for about 40 days. During the leave, she stayed at her home in Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. On 16 December, he joined Shimla Police Headquarters. Since then Ilma kept waiting for orders for posting in Baddi. First we waited for the winter session of the Assembly to end. Even when the session ended, the government still did not give him posting in Baddi.

Petition filed in High Court Meanwhile, a person named Sucha Ram filed a public interest litigation in the High Court. In which he demanded that Ilma should be appointed SP of Baddi. Then the government told the court that Ilma wanted transfer from Baddi.

1. She was 14 years old at the time of her father’s death. Ilma is a resident of Kundarki village in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Ilma was 14 years old when her father died. 2. Studied at St. Stephen’s College, got scholarship Ilma did her early studies in Moradabad. After this, he did graduation in Philosophy from St. Stephen’s, one of the most prestigious colleges of Delhi University (DU). Got scholarship due to his hard work, dedication and talent.

3. Higher studies from Oxford University After this she went to Oxford University for higher education. While studying here, she went to Paris under the exchange program. After this he also participated in a voluntary service program in Manhattan, New York.

4. Left job offer in New York, became IPS after passing UPSC exam Ilma had got a job offer in a New York company with a good package. But, she returned to India with the desire to serve the country. After this he passed the toughest civil services examination in 2017. His All India rank was 217. After this, after being selected for IPS in August 2018, he got Himachal cadre.
