Indian Women defeated Ireland by 6 wickets in the first match of the 3-match ODI series being held in Rajkot. The Irish team, which won the toss and elected to bat, scored 238/7. Captain Gabby Lewis scored the highest 92 runs.

Smriti Mandhana, who is captaining India in the absence of Harmanpreet, along with opener Pratika Rawal added 70 runs for the first wicket. Smriti played an inning of 41 runs on 29 balls with a strike rate of 141.37, 6 fours and 1 six. Freya Sargent got him caught out.
Harleen Deol played an inning of 20 runs and Jemimah Rodrigues played an inning of 9 runs. Both these batsmen were dismissed by Amy Maguire.

While batting brilliantly, Pratika Raval scored the second half century of her career. He played an inning of 89 runs on 96 balls with the help of 10 fours and 1 six. Pratika was caught by Amy Maguire at the hands of Orla Prendergast.
All-rounder Tejal Hasanbis played fast and scored 53 runs on 46 balls to give India victory with 15 overs to spare. He hit 9 fours in the innings.
