A large crowd of people gathered at platform numbers 14, 15 and 16 to board the train going to Mahakumbh on Saturday evening at New Delhi railway station, due to which a stampede took place and a big accident occurred. Chief Casualty Medical Officer, Chief Casualty Medical Officer of LNJP Hospital informed that 18 people, including 3 children, were killed and 10 people were injured in the accident, who were admitted to the hospital. According to the railway police, the freight suddenly came, due to which this happened. Please tell that a large crowd had gathered inside and outside the station to go to Mahakumbh. Eyewitnesses say that suddenly the crowd came and people climbed on top of one and this accident happened. Railways have ordered a high level inquiry into this accident.

An eyewitness in Delhi said that there was no RPF or police at the station (New Delhi railway station). There was a huge crowd at the station. More than 30 people have been injured. My relative has been admitted to the hospital.

Special trains running for railway Prayagraj
