Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the election campaign on Friday (January 3, 2025) in view of the Delhi Assembly elections. While addressing the public in Ashok Vihar, PM Modi targeted the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi and said that AAP has become a disaster in Delhi. These people are deeply dishonest people. PM Modi said that if he had wanted, he would have built Sheeshmahal for himself too, but his dream is that the countrymen should get their own houses.
Giving the slogan of ‘Disaster has to be removed, BJP has to be brought in’, the Prime Minister said, “There are people in power who call themselves staunch dishonest people, who are themselves accused of the liquor scam. They indulge in corruption and glorify it. They also steal and embezzle. The people of Delhi have to remove this disaster government from power. Today every street says – we will not tolerate the disaster, we will live with change.”

He said, “I want to give the benefits of ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme which provides free treatment facility to the people of Delhi. The AAP-DA government has great enmity with the people of Delhi. Ayushman scheme is implemented in the entire country, but AAP people are not allowing this scheme to be implemented here (Delhi). The people of Delhi are having to bear the loss due to this.”
Attacking AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, the Prime Minister said, “Modi never built a house for himself, but has fulfilled the dreams of more than 4 crore people in the last 10 years. I too could have built a glass palace, but for me, it was my dream that my countrymen should get permanent houses.” He said that those who still live in slums, if not today then tomorrow they will get permanent houses built for them.
