Former Pakistani bowler Aaqib Javed can become the new head coach of the Pakistani team. According to the report of ESPN, Aaqib Javed can be given the responsibility of all formats by removing Jason Gillespie.
Gillespie was recently made the coach of Pakistan after the resignation of white ball format head coach Gary Kirsten. Aaqib is currently working as a convener in Pakistan Men’s Cricket Selection Committee. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) can announce this decision on Monday.
Jason Gillespie is the full-time head coach of Pakistan’s Test format.
Can start coaching from Zimbabwe tour
Pakistan cricket team will play the third and last T20 match against Australia on Monday. After this the team has to tour Zimbabwe, where Aaqib Javed will be made the white-ball head coach. Aaqib has also been the assistant coach of Pakistan team in the past. UAE made him its head coach in 2013.
