Adani Foundation has written a new chapter in the field of rural development and women empowerment. Through Adani Skill Development Center (ASDC) located in Sewapuri, Varanasi, the Foundation is not only providing new employment opportunities to women, but is also motivating them to become self-reliant. Recently the Center has achieved a significant milestone with the placement of 50 trained women in the Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) enterprise Indivillage.
This effort of Adani Foundation has provided training to more than 90,000 people through 30 centers in 19 cities across the country. These centers provide training in industry-specific skills such as data processing, market analysis and customer support, giving women the opportunity to make their place in the digital economy.
The success of women like Sandhya Verma of Sewapuri further strengthens its authenticity. Sandhya, who comes from a farmer family, got training from this center and not only got a job in IndiVillage, but also improved the financial condition of her family.
Sandhya says that this center is like giving a new life to rural women like us. This effort of Adani Group, based on the philosophy of development with goodness, is continuously succeeding in its objective of making the weaker sections of the society socially and economically capable.
Adani Skill Development Centre, running in collaboration with Adani Foundation and cement and construction materials company ACC, recently appointed 50 trained women at knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) venture IndiVillage.
At Adani Skill Development Centre, women are trained in technical, communication and industry-specific skills. This training prepares them for roles like data processing, market analysis and customer support. This initiative is an important step towards sustainable development and economic freedom by enabling them to participate in the digital economy.
The success story of Sandhya Verma from a farmer family is enough to tell the achievement of Adani Skill Development Centre. After getting training from this centre, he got a job in Individual Village and now the financial condition of his family is better. This has also created self-confidence in Sandhya.
Sandhya says, “This center is like giving a new life to rural women like us. This Diwali, I gifted new clothes to my parents and contributed to family events. It was a proud moment for me.”
The slogan of Adani Group is ‘Development with goodness’, which reflects its commitment to empower the weaker sections of the society. Adani Skill Development Center is operating through 30 centers in 19 cities across the country. These centers have so far started more than 55 vocational courses, from which more than 90,000 people have benefited.
This effort of Adani Foundation is continuously moving towards empowering rural areas and weaker sections of the society. Along with bringing changes in the lives of women, this initiative is also promoting equality and harmony in the society.
