Adi Foundation honored more than 1,000 ‘Lakhpati Didi’ before International Women’s Day

Prior to the International Women’s Day 2025, Adani Foundation (Adani Foundation) organized a special event in Mundra in Kutch district of Gujarat, before the International Women’s Day 2025, which was honored with more than 1,000 ‘Lakhpati Didi’.

Adani Foundation is constantly making efforts to make women self -sufficient in Kutch and other parts of the country. This foundation is committed to strengthening their socio-economic status and promoting economic freedom by providing necessary cooperation, guidance and skill development opportunities to women.

Foundation remains a fourtery of women

In order to empower the participation of women on gender equality and workplace, the Foundation also celebrated the collective perseverance of more than 614 women working in Adani Solar. The Foundation has played an important role in including these women in various technical and engineering roles, including the Human Resources (HR), Manufacturing and Productions Diportage Departments.

In addition, the Foundation has helped more than 850 women to make self -reliant by making them proficient in entrepreneurship skills.

Rural Development Commissioner appreciated

On this occasion, the Rural Development Commissioner and Secretary (IAS) of the Government of Gujarat, Manisha Chandra appreciated the initiative of Adani Foundation in her video message. He said, ‘It is a matter of pride that women are becoming financially independent by breaking social obstacles. Such efforts not only empower women, but also inspire generations to come.

Gender equality boost

Many dignitaries were present in this program including Adani Public School, Mundra Director Ami Shah. The Gujarat CSR chief of Adi Foundation, Row Shah said that it is the collective responsibility of the society to promote gender equality. He said, ‘The cooperation of family, community and corporate sector is necessary for the progress of women. When women get an opportunity to balance their professional and personal life, they excel in their career and bring positive changes in society and family.

Spontaneous atmosphere

Adi Solar provides special facilities for her female employees, including transport facilities with locker room, canteen, pink toilet and security guards. This gives women a comfortable and safe environment at the workplace.

Women are writing success story

Sharing her success story, Technical Associate, Garhvi Sonal Ram said, ‘Today I am financially independent and are able to support my family, which is like a dream to come true for me. Earlier, it was not possible to go to work in our community due to lack of safe transport for girls, but the dedicated transport facility of Adani Solar has assured my family about my safety.
