After 3 years on Russia -Ukraine war, Tharoor praises Modi government, BJP’s reaction – India tv hindi

Thiruvananthapuram: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor justified changing his attitude towards India’s attitude on the Russia-Ukraine war issue on Wednesday, saying he expressed his opinion as an Indian and he did not see any politics in it. Tharoor said on Tuesday that opposing India’s attitude after the Russia-Ukraine war has proved to be a shameful thing for him. He also said that due to the policy adopted by the Government of India, the country is now in a position where it can play a role for permanent peace.

When Russia attacked Ukraine, Tharoor criticized India’s stance and called for Moscow to condemn the move. He said in New Delhi on Wednesday, “I spoke as an Indian on the matter. I do not see any politics in it. ”Tharoor said that this is not a political subject, but he did not say in detail on it.

Meanwhile, the BJP leadership in Kerala appreciated the stance for Tharoor and said that his “honesty” is “commendable” in praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomacy. BJP state president K.K. Surendran said that he has always praised the clarism of the Congress MP. He said that Thiruvananthapuram MP Tharoor is looking at India’s global uplift under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and is “actually a new approach”.

Surendran said in a post on ‘X’, “Dear Shashi Tharoor ji, I have always been a fan of your clearism. You honestly to say that ‘I initially opposed it’ and now it is commendable to praise Modi’s diplomacy on Russia-Ukraine. You are looking at India’s global uplift under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is actually a new approach. However, your colleagues of Congress do not see this. ”

What did Shashi Tharoor say?

Tharoor said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can embrace both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsci as part of the policy adopted by India.
