Naiduniya Representative, Balaghat. Police are taking special vigilance in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh after the incident of sacrifice of soldiers in the blast of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Ambeli village of Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Here, on the border of Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, police and Hawk Force personnel have been asked to be extremely alert. There is a possibility that after causing damage to the District Reserve Guard (DRG), major action may be taken against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh. To avoid this, Naxalites can again take shelter in Balaghat. At the same time, Dindori district of Balaghat range has got a company of SAF.
- There is already an alert in Balaghat to prevent Naxalites from entering the Balaghat forest and to give a befitting reply, but the incident in Bijapur has made the police staff here more alert.
- According to Balaghat Range Inspector General of Police Sanjay Kumar, after the Bijapur incident, they are continuously taking precautions by increasing vigilance.
- It is noteworthy that along with Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh, Mandla and Dindori districts are also in the category of Naxal affected districts.
- In such a situation, to increase the number of police force personnel, the state government has provided a company of Special Armed Forces (SAF) to Dindori district.
- There are 81 SAF personnel in this company. However, a month ago, Balaghat Police has sent a proposal to the Central Government demanding two battalions.
- Police officials say that soon two battalions of CRPF will be found.
- Expectation of recruitment of 400 Hawkforce soldiers: Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah talked about eliminating Naxalism from the country by March 2026.
- Meanwhile, the expectation of recruitment of soldiers on vacant and additional posts of Hawkforce in Balaghat has increased. At the same time, the state government has given in-principle approval to fill 325 posts of Hawkforce.
- Along with this, more than 70 vacant posts of Hawk Force will also be filled soon.
- In this way, there is a preparation to fill 400 posts of Hawk Force in the coming time, which is considered important in Home Minister Amit Shah’s policy to end Naxalism by March 2026.
