After two days of silence amid doubts over the formation of the grand coalition government in Maharashtra, Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today left for Mumbai from Satara. Earlier, Shinde said in a press conference that I have already given unconditional support to the decision of the Prime Minister, Home Minister and BJP President and I will support whatever decision they take for Maharashtra.

Eknath Shinde while talking to journalists in Satara answered their questions. In response to a question, he said that my health is good right now. I came here to rest. There was a lot of running in the elections. I had 8-10 meetings in one day. I had not taken any leave during my tenure of 2-2.5 years. He further said that people still come to meet me on the pretext of work. Despite coming here, I still have to meet people. This government is a government with the voice of the people.

On government formation, Shinde said that my support is with the government. The people will get the government they want. I have completely explained my role on Wednesday. I have full support to whatever Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah say. There is coordination among our three parties. Eknath Shinde further said that in the history till date, we have started development on such a large scale and many welfare schemes for the public within two to two and a half years. This is a historic government to implement so many schemes in two and a half years. This will be written in golden letters. Our government is the government of the common man. We have done what we said.

Shinde said that the public has given us such a big blessing that the entire opposition has not even got an opposition leader. This shows that this is the result of the work we have done in such a short time. I have made my role clear. PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will take the decision of the Chief Minister. We support whatever he says. Government will be established. There is coordination among all our three parties. It is not our decision what we get, it is our decision what the people of Maharashtra should get. Our responsibility has increased, because the people of Maharashtra have given us a lot, we still have to develop them. Public welfare schemes have to be taken forward.

Despite Mahayuti getting majority in the Maharashtra election results, the situation on government formation in the state is not clear. It is being said that there is a tussle going on between BJP and Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena regarding the post of CM in Mahayuti. On Thursday, Eknath Shinde, who returned to Mumbai after meeting BJP leaders in Delhi, suddenly went to his village in Satara, due to which the market of speculations became heated. However, now there is talk that some big political developments may emerge by Sunday evening. The situation regarding the post of Chief Minister of Mahayuti in Maharashtra may become clear.
