The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) staged a sit-in protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill at Jantar Mantar in Delhi today. Heavy police force at Jantar Mantar
A heavy police force has been deployed at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar amid the ongoing protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi has also reached Jantar Mantar to participate in the demonstration.

On the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 against AIMPLB protesting, BJP leader Shahzad Poonawala said, “Waqf is an excuse, rioting, arson, running vote bank shop in the country, this is his story like AIMPLB. I want to ask whether the Constitution has given the rights to the Jain community and the Christian community.
On the protest of Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 by All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal said- “This country runs through law.” At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said- “The entire politics on this issue is unfortunate. Arvind Sawant ji of our party was part of the committee discussing it. The party will continue to present its case on the issue.”
