On the occasion of Republic Day, the Air Force will show tricks in the parade to be held in the duty path. With regard to the parade and fly past, Air Force spokesperson Wing Commander Jaideep Singh said that this time a total of 40 air crafts will participate in the parade. Fighter aircraft like Sukhoi and Rafal will be part of the parade. Jaguwar and MiG 29 will also be shown in the parade.

Tejas will not be part of fly past due to having a single engine. However, before this, Tejas Republic Day has participated in fly past. At the same time, desi pole helicopter will also not be seen flying. This year, on Republic Day, a total of 40 aircraft, including 22 fighter aircraft, 11 transport aircraft and seven helicopters, will participate in the flypast. These aircraft will fly from 10 different locations of the Air Force. The aircraft participating in the Republic Day celebrations will fly in a total of 12 separate formations.

What will be special in Air Force parade

The Republic Day celebrations will be the first formation flag during the fly past of the Indian Air Force. Apart from this, Ajay, Sutlej, dagger, eagle, protector, Arjuna, Varun, Netra and Bhima Formation will also be built by Air Force fighter jets during the Republic Day celebrations in the sky. The Indian Air Force said that 5 Jaguar aircraft will create arrow formation. Vajrang Formation will be made by 6 Rafale fighter jets. Sukhoi fighter aircraft will create a trident formation. Finally, Rafale fighter aircraft will come for Vartical Charlie.

Wing Commander Manish Sharma said that the best fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force will participate in this fly past. The Republic Day Parade will begin after the flag hoisting ceremony on the ‘Duty Path’. The President will take a salute after hoisting the national flag. This year, the Indian Air Force marching squad includes four officers (one contingent commander and three additional officers) and 144 Waysicians.

The contingent will be the commander squadron leader Mahendra Singh, while the flight will be Lieutenant Damini Deshmukh, Flight Lieutenant Napo Moirangathem, Abhinav Ghosh will be additional officers. The Air Force contingent will march on the tunes played by the Indian Air Force band in the structure of 12 by 12. While crossing the President’s stage, the band will play the ‘Sound Barrier’ tune. The Republic Day celebrations begin with a tribute ceremony at the National War Memorial, in which the Prime Minister offers a wreath.
