New Delhi: Air India passengers have been stranded in Phuket, Thailand for nearly 80 hours. The flight has been canceled due to technical fault in the flight. Air India flight number AI377 was to come from Phuket to Delhi. The Delhi flight was to arrive on the night of 16th November but has not arrived yet. According to sources, there are 35-40 passengers currently in Phuket, they will be flown out by this evening’s flight.
First technical problem then emergency landing
According to the information, due to a technical fault the plane was announced to take off 6 hours late. Then when boarding started, after an hour the passengers were deboarded and informed about the cancellation of the flight. According to information received from sources related to Air India, the aircraft was not flown on 16 November due to flight duty time limitation. When the plane was flown on November 17, it encountered a technical issue, due to which it had to make an emergency landing. The aircraft could not be repaired due to which there was a problem.
Passengers will be flown this evening
Stay arrangements were made for all the passengers and their fares will be refunded. Sources said that many passengers have been sent. 35-40 passengers are in Phuket. He will be sent by this evening’s flight.
More than 100 passengers were on board the plane
Over 100 passengers on an Air India-bound New Delhi flight have been stranded in Phuket, Thailand for over 80 hours after multiple delays due to technical glitches, according to multiple posts by passengers on social media. The passengers allege that after making them wait for hours at the airport, they were asked to board the plane, but after an hour they were deboarded from the plane. The flight was cancelled. The passengers also included elderly and children.
After this the plane was prepared for flight. Passengers say they were told it was the same plane, but the fault had been rectified. The plane took off and landed back in Phuket about two and a half hours after takeoff, and passengers were again told that there had been a technical fault. Since then, travelers have been stranded in Phuket.
