Jasprit Bumrah and Akashdeep saved India from follow-on by making a game-changing partnership for the 10th wicket.
The third test between India and Australia was drawn in Brisbane. Akashdeep and Jasprit Bumrah played important roles for India in making it a draw. Both of them made a partnership of 47 runs for the 10th wicket and saved India from follow-on.
If Team India had played follow-on and got all out early in the second innings, Australia would have had a golden opportunity to achieve the target and win. However, due to their partnership, Australia had to come out to bat in the second innings and India got better time to save the match.

1. Laxman forgot to follow on to Australia In 2001, Australia had made a record of winning 15 consecutive Tests. The team toured India and won the first test in Mumbai. The second test was held in Kolkata, the Kangaroos scored 445 runs and India could score only 171 runs. Here Australia gave follow-on to India.
India lost 4 wickets for 232 runs, here VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid survived. Dravid scored 180 and Laxman scored 281 runs, taking the score to 657. India won the match by 171 runs, broke Australia’s winning streak and also won the series 2–1. After this, Australia stopped giving follow-on in the Test.
